Well, Josh actually prefers Spiderman-that's his favorite super hero. But the other day, my hubby was Superman for a little girl in Ann Taylor Loft.
There we were - shopping for my birthday. I had been to Charming Charlies and didn't find any clothes I liked! I was so sad since I had a gift card - I really wanted to buy something!! So we walked into Ann Taylor Loft. (And yes, my husband is awesome for taking me shopping in the first place and standing there while I take FOREVER looking at this, picking out that, deciding which color I like...fun stuff for him, I'm sure...)
Anyway, I'm looking at a rack, deciding if I want to try on something and when I turn around to talk to Josh, he is walking over to a little girl who is in her mother's arms - just CRYING her little eyes out. Her mother was saying to her, "Well, it's your fault-you let it go!" That's when I saw there was a balloon on the ceiling, just out of the mom's reach - a balloon that my tall husband was reaching for and then handed back to the little girl. My heart melted. I turned away, so no one would see my huge smile. I heard the little girl say in her shaking, crying, adorable little voice, "Thank you."
I love my husband - and I am so proud of the man he is. He's my Superman!

Flair! Finding the Fun at Work
I don't really like talking about my flair...
Joanna: You know what, Stan, if you want me to wear 37 pieces of flair, like your pretty boy over there, Brian, why don't you just make the minimum 37 pieces of flair?
Stan, Chotchkie's Manager: Well, I thought I remembered you saying that you wanted to express yourself.
Joanna: Yeah. You know what, yeah, I do. I do want to express myself, okay. And I don't need 37 pieces of flair to do it.
[flips off Stan]
Like Joanna, I'd love to quit a terrible job one day like that. (That's almost as good as the JetBlue guy!)
But unlike Joanna, I don't mind talking about my Flair. My PaperMate Flair pens, that is!
I am super excited for this weekend because I'll be off to Savannah!!!!
I love Savannah! We went last year with a few friends and we had so much fun. There are so many tasty places to eat down there, so I'm most excited about the food!
I'll be eating some of this:
And we're going to try this place.
YUM! I can't wait! :)

I LOVE these pens! And it is the only way I can make reconciling credit card charges for 4 people every month a little fun. Some months I can have up to 40 charges per person - that's a LOT of reconciling! Not only do I have to go into the website and type in a bunch of crap (reason for purchase, tax, subledger number) but I also have to write the transaction number on every receipt. That's where these babies come in handy! Writing transaction numbers on 100+ receipts is much more tolerable when you have a pretty pink pen or a lovely light-blue pen or a great green pen.
After that step, I go to the printer to scan copies of the receipts. Trying to fit the different sized receipts together into an 8.5 x 11 area is also kind of fun - I pretend I'm playing Tetris. :)

Neato! Finding the FUN at Work
There are very few things at work that I find truly "fun." (Read my whiny post here.)
But lately, I've been trying find happiness in the little things in life. So for the next few blog posts, I'd like to share with you the small parts of my job that I actually enjoy. We'll call this series "Finding the FUN at Work."
First off -
"The Neato"
Otherwise titled "How to put a CD cover onto a CD"
1. Peel off your CD label
2. Grab your Neato (I LOVE that it's call theNeato!)
3. Put the CD Label onto the Neato, sticky side up
4. Put the CD onto the Neato
5. Push down
6. Wait for it, wait for it, wait for it...
POP! The CD pops up and...ta-dah! You have a perfectly aligned CD cover. NEATO! (Uunfortunately, I can't show you a picture of the finished product because it is confidential. Boo.)
But I sure do love when that CD pops up! It's kind of like a jack-in-the-box. And I have to smile every time. :)
Like I said, you have to find fun in the little things in life. :)
Tune in next time for another installment of "Finding the FUN at Work!"
And I'll leave you today with these ADORABLE pictures of my baby boy helping me put up the laundry.
He's so goofy!

Hello. My name is Holly, and I'm a creepy blog-stalker
Yesterday I figured out how to "subscribe" to non-blogger.com based blogs and how to show all the blogs I follow on my blog. (Finally - took me long enough to figure that out!) So I decided today that I should stop being "Holly the creepy blog-stalker" and start getting more involved in the blogging community. I went ahead and subscribed to some of my favorite blogs and I'm going to try to comment more on posts that I enjoy. Of course, now that I've made this commitment, I'll need to be more diligent on updating my own blog. :)
The other thing that set off my whole new blogging attitude was that I got my first comment from someone other than my hubby. It. Was. Awesome!!!! It literally made my day. So thanks to the Newlywed Next Door for my first non-husband comment! Next time I watch the X-Files, I'll think of you. :)

You probably shouldn't be watching this on the breakroom tv...
I just walked into the breakroom to dump my cherry coke zero can into the recycling bin.
"La la la, walking to the breakroom, mindin' my own business, do dah."
And the TV in the breakroom was on.
"Geez - ppl around here always leave this on! I'll be nice and turn it off after I dump this can..."
But before I could, I heard some guy on the station say, "He sure has had a lot of sex this year!"
"WHAT?! What did he just say?!"
I whipped around to see what was on.
"What the heck was someone watching in our breakroom?!?!?!"
......
But then I realized it was ESPN. And the guy had said "sacks" not "sex" ...which makes a LOT more sense.
:)
It's FRIDAY!!! Only an hour and a half until 5pm! Woo hoo!
